Today I learned about a kind and happy man who works at Mister Softee. And Mister Softee sells ice cream to children and adults alike right out of a large blue-and-white truck. I also learned that Gus Elefantis’s summer days begin at about 8 a.m. when he and his wife Lola wake up to make breakfast for their two daughters.
