 Walt: Finish the slide given.

This week for maths I finished this math slide.                                                                                                    I learned how to finished the slide that was given that were hard but still fun to do.                                   I enjoyed doing the times tables.                                                                                                                             I found it challenging to finish them all.                                                                                                 Maybe next time I could try being faster.

Walt: Create our own math word problems.

This week for maths I created some math word problems.                                                                                 I learned how to make cool problems that were hard but still fun to do.                                                         I enjoyed finding backgrounds.                                                                                                                             I found it challenging to write all 4 math word problems.                                                                                 Maybe next time I could try making the problems a little harder.

The Murder

WALT: Write 110 words in 10 minutes.

It was a pitch-black night Anna was home alone once again left with only her pet dog Patric. When suddenly she heard a strange noise like drip drip drip. Slowly she climbed out of bed to see what it was she checked the inside taps it wasn't them. So she checked outside and saw that it was the hose so she turned it off and hopped back in bed. Before getting a friendly lick on the hand from Patric. Then she heard the dripping sound again so she hopped out of her bed to see where it was coming from this time. It was in the bathroom so she turned it off. When suddenly she saw someone so slowly she turned around but when she looked no one was there so she forgot that thought and went back to sleep. She then stuck her hand under the bed and got another friendly lick from Patric. When she heard the dripping noise once again so angrily she hopped out of bed to see what it was this time. It was the kitchen tap so she got a drink then when she was ready to leave she realized the biggest knife in the house was gone. Quickly she ran back up into her room and jumped into her bed. Then she stuck her hand under her bed and got another friendly lick from Patric. When she heard some more dripping noises. Except the noise was really close actually, it was in her wardrobe so silently but quickly Anna walks up to the wardrobe then she opened it. In there was Patric her dog on a hanger blood all over him with a note saying humans can lick too.

To be continued in next week's series the murder part 2.                         I learned how to write 110 words in 10 minutes.                                                                                                  I enjoyed making up this fun and scary story.                                                                                                      I found it challenging to try make the story creepy.                                                                                       Next time I will improve by making the story a bit longer.

Math word problems

WALT: Create our own math word problems.

This week for maths we had to make our own math word problems.

What I thought was challenging was trying to come up with hard problems.

What I enjoyed about the task was that it was really easy to find the backgrounds.

I think I did good problems. Ff maybe I could make 4 slides instead of 3.

National anthem

On Monday this week when we went to school we got to sing the national anthem. It was really fun to sing because we had to vs each group.  It was a hard challenge though because we were really good at singing.
In my opinion, I think our side did a great job.
I think I sang perfectly. Maybe next time I could try to sing a little louder.

The African Unicorn

Walt: Write down what we have learned about the article.

Today I learned about the African Unicorn. The okapi (Okapia johnstoni) is native to the Ituri rain forest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. About 10,000 to 20,000 okapis living there. Though the okapi looks like some kind of horse, it’s a relative of the giraffe—the only one. Like the giraffe, the okapi has two ossicones—bony outgrowths covered in the skin—on its head. It also has a long, dark, prehensile tongue similar to a giraffe’s. Prehensility is the ability of an appendage or an organ to grasp or hold. The okapi stretches its 46-centimeter (18-inch) tongue to clean its ears and eyelids and to strip buds and leaves from trees. I also learned that After the birth, mother and calf were left alone to bond. Any disturbance could have frightened Kweli, prompting her to reject the calf. A newborn okapi can stand within 20 minutes and nurse within an hour. Four to eight weeks go by, however, before it defecates. In the wild, delayed defecation is a natural defense, limiting the amount of scent that could attract predators to a calf while its mother forages (looks for food). An okapi mother leaves her calf undefended for hours, returning only for short periods to nurse it. Mother and calf spend relatively little time together.

I think I stuck some interesting facts in my writing above. Maybe I could try making the sentence smaller.

Niue language week

 Walt: Speak the Niuean language.

Today me and my class got taught by our teacher to speak some Niuean language. It was really fun because then we all got to learn some words in Niue. Here are some words that we learned. Fakaalofa atu means hi/hello  Fakaalofa lahi atu kia koe means hello/Greetings to one.

I think I pronounced the Niuean words terrifically. Maybe next time I could try learning them faster.

Math word problems

Walt: Solve the math word problems on the slides below.

Today for maths our teacher ms Peters made a slide with some math word problems.  The first thing we had to do was make a copy. The second thing, we had to do was read the problems. The last thing we had to do was answering the equation working out and answer.

Fb I think I answered my questions perfectly. Ff I think I could try finding different ways to solve the problems.

Shake out

 Walt: Drop cover hold

Today At 9:10 me and my class learned about what to do if a earthquake occurs. First of all miss peters red a sheet of information about what to do if an earthquake did happen. e.g

.Drop down on your hands and knees. This stops you from falling over but move if necessary.

.Cover Your neck and head under a sturdy table or a desk ( if it is within a few steps of you). If there is no shelter nearby, then cover your head and neck with your arms.

.Hold onto your table or desk ( or your position to protect your head and neck) Until You are sure the earthquake stops. If your sturdy table or desk starts shifting around in the earthquake shift with it to keep safe.

After learning about Drop Cover Hold miss stuck on a video talking about Drop Cover Hold

Then we actually started to practice the lockdown we had 2 practices than at 9:30 the whole school had a practice together for a minute then we went on to the field and the teachers did the roles then we went back to class.

Blurb. Fb I think I did really well in the practice. Ff I think I could be faster getting under my desk.

The creature

Walt: Write 100 words in 10 minutes

This week for writing we have been learning how to write 1 hundred words in 10 minutes. This activity was cool to do. I think I did well in getting over the 100 marks in the writing task.

It had been months since I had seen it. The image of it was terrifying. It was always popping up in my mind. Until I found some traces theses traces were very weird. I knew to turn away but curiosity got the better of me. After trudging for an eternity the tracks came to a tree but this tree wasn't normal it was glowing magnificently surrounding the whole tree with unique sparks. As I walked closer a noise behind me got my attention. As I got my sword out it pounced.  Within a blink, I was on the ground. With the claws of the strange beast buried in my chest. Then it was gone after a little while my site faded. When I awoke I was in pools of blood. Then I saw it the creature.

Food city

Walt: Write 100 words in 10 minutes.

For this week we have been learning how to write 100 words in 10 minutes.

Oh and please don't forget  Kryzmas Army of the big mac people. Everyone and everything was basically food until their King Bob was taken away. Then the food people were raided by the Pakehas and their dogs ate everyone’s houses. The food people tried fighting back but then the king Cyris unleashed the Scottish people. Whos leader was kavelle. Then the Scottish ate everyone.

comic strip

Walt Write a comic strip about kind, thoughtful, and helpful blog comments.

Climate change

Walt read an article a day and write bout what you learned.
Today I learned about what is Climate and Climate Change. And that The climate of a region or city is its typical or average weather. For example, the climate of Hawaii is sunny and warm. But the climate of Antarctica is freezing cold. Earth's climate is the average of all the world's regional climates. Climate change is also a change in Earth's overall climate. This could be a change in Earth's average temperature, for example. Or it could be a change in Earth's typical precipitation patterns. Climate change, therefore, is a change in the typical or average weather of a region or city. This could be a change in a region's average annual rainfall, for example. Or it could be a change in a city's average temperature for a given month or season.I also learned Some impacts already are occurring. For example, sea levels are rising, and snow and ice cover is decreasing. Rainfall patterns and growing seasons are changing. Further sea-level rise and melting of snow and ice are likely as Earth warms. The warming climate likely will cause more floods, droughts, and heatwaves. The heat waves may get hotter, and hurricanes may get stronger.

Cyrises comic

Comic filled with laughs and action.
once upon a time there lived two Princess who lived in a huge magnificent burger castle. Their names were Ryan who was very strong and his brother Brian who was skinny and his muscles were flabby. Also, Brian had a Ford Mustang actually it was a hot dog Ford Mustang. they thought they were cool. until two kids arrived in a spaceship they were Rollan and Cyris. Rollan was smart, cool and he was Cyrises Jennie. Also, Cyris was a wizard and was a night named sir persadol. And please don't forget their dogs Karare who could talk and could fly but she was very annoying and Kryzma well she was useless and lazy. When Rolling and Cyrus got out of their spaceship flying ice cream splattered in our faces and then Ryan and Brian nocked us out.
To be continued In the burger castle comic

What Is Earth

Today I learned about What Is Earth and that Earth is our home planet.
Scientists believe Earth and its moon formed around the same time as the rest of the solar system.
They think that was about 4.5 billion years ago. Earth is the fifth-largest planet in the solar system.
Its diameter is about 8,000 miles.
And Earth is the third closest planet to the sun.
Its average distance from the sun is about 93 million miles. Only Mercury and Venus are closer. I also learned that Earth orbits the sun once every 365 days or one year. The shape of its orbit is not quite a perfect circle. It's more like an oval, which causes Earth's distance from the sun to vary during the year. Earth is nearest the sun, or at "perihelion," in January when it's about 91 million miles away. Earth is farthest from the sun, or at "aphelion," in July when it's about 95 million miles away. And that At all times, half of Earth is lighted by the sun and half is in darkness. Areas facing toward the sun experience daytime. Areas facing away from the sun experience nighttime. As the planet spins, most places on Earth cycle through day and night once every 24 hours. The North Pole and the South Pole have continuous daylight or darkness depending on the time of year.

Perimeters

WALT: Understand Perimeters

This week we have been learning about Perimeters, lengths, widths, and areas.  For maths, our teacher gave us a task to do on perimeters called Square skills.
Here is one of the formulas I used for this task.
P= 2L+2W
P= 2x12 = 2x2
= 24 + 8
= 28

What I really liked about this activity was that it was really challenging and it taught me about lengths, widths, and Perimeters. Also, this activity was really fun to learn about.

Readworks

Today I learned that a cloud is a mass of water drops or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. Clouds form when water condenses in the sky. The condensation lets us see the water vapor. There are many different types of clouds. Clouds are an important part of Earth's weather and climate. Clouds form from water in the sky. The water may evaporate from the ground or move from other areas. Clouds are categorized primarily by two major factors - location and shape. High clouds form several kilometers up in the sky, with the exact height depending on the temperatures where they form. Low clouds generally form within a kilometer or two of Earth's surface. In fact, low clouds can even form touching the ground, when they are called fog. Middle-level clouds form between low and high clouds.
I also learned Clouds help regulate Earth's energy balance by reflecting and scattering solar radiation and by absorbing Earth's infrared energy. Clouds are required for precipitation to occur and, hence are an essential part of the hydrologic cycle.
NASA diagram of Earth with cloud coverage
In parts of the world, the difference in how many clouds cover the ocean versus how many cover land is so clear that the outlines of continents can be found just by looking at the clouds.

Victoria Falls

WALT: Increase our knowledge by reading a wide range of texts (Article a day - Book of Knowledge)

Today I learned about Victoria Falls and that Victoria Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls on the planet. It is located along the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, two countries in southern Africa. I also learned that Victoria Falls is considered to be the largest waterfall in the world. And – it’s about one mile wide and 360 feet high (109m)! This amazing sheet of falling water can be heard from miles away. The spray and mist from the waterfall can be seen from many miles away, too. In fact, local tribes first called the waterfall “Mosi-oa-Tunya.” That means “the smoke that thunders.” But the falls received another name in 1855. That year, a Scottish explorer came across the waterfall. His name was David Livingstone. He named it Victoria Falls after Queen Victoria, who was ruling Great Britain at the time.

The mystery

The mystery

It was a bittering cold morning in London in 1873. I was awoken by a jugging at my shoulder there holding a lantern was spuke his serious face told me something was amiss.

My first thought was to pull the sheets back over me but braving the cold would be well worth the look spuke was giving me.

We were in a cab at 7:30 when we arrived at London station we boarded the train to arctic hollow. As we sat spuke said that we will have to be investigating for Johnathan Michael here he said this article explains that there was a robbery and murder as we spoke on the reflection of a strange figure caught my eyes as I looked toward him his dark silver eyes met mine.

As my eyes followed the strange figure a hand grabbed my shoulder it was a stranger when he spoke he was scared maybe even terrified when I was going to speak he was suddenly shot clean to the head as his body slammed to the ground a key lay near his body. Then everything went dark.

what was a challenge the biggest challenge was when we had to write complex sentences
My little sister is so irritating which makes me very mad especially because she is always happy doing it to me.

The dolphin jumped up from the water. Its shining tail flicked crystal clear water to the sky while its body shone in the bright warm sun.

Tim Peake is a famous British astronaut who eats chips in space.
